The San Francisco 49ers announced they have activated WR Jerome Simpson from the Reserve/Suspended List. In order to make room on the roster, the team has placed S Antoine Bethea on the Injured Reserve List.

During his time with San Francisco, Bethea has registered four interceptions and 12 passes defensed and was selected to the 2015 Pro Bowl. A 10-year veteran, he has started in all 146 games in which he has appeared.
