2022 Pre Arrival Protocol FAQs

What safety & security protocols will the 49ers implement this season to help lower the risk of COVID-19 at Levi's® Stadium?

  • The 49ers encourage all guests and employees in attendance to get vaccinated. We are proud to have been home to the largest vaccination site in the State of California with over 350,000 shots administered.
  • We have introduced several enhanced cleaning & disinfecting protocols, including UV lighting. Our disinfection team has a new uniform making them easy to identify on the event day. Hand sanitizer stations are strategically placed throughout the stadium. Fans are encouraged to wash their hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Stadium staff will continue to have face coverings made available as an option.

How many people will be allowed to attend each home game this year?

  • We are preparing to host fans at Levi's Stadium at total capacity this season.

Will I have to be vaccinated or show proof of a negative COVID-19 test to enter games this season?

  • No. However, we do strongly encourage all guests to get the COVID-19 vaccine if they are eligible. If you are feeling sick or have symptoms related to COVID-19, please stay home.

Am I going to have to sign a waiver to attend games?

  • No. We do continue to remind all of our guests, vendors, and employees by entering the stadium or stadium grounds that they assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19 and its variants.

Will I have to wear a mask while attending games?

  • Fully vaccinated fans are not required to wear a mask while outdoors. All fans, regardless of vaccination status are required to wear a mask while indoors including in club spaces, restrooms, and elevators. Stadium staff will continue to have face coverings made available as an option. Attendees must follow Santa Clara County Public Health Guidance for Face Coverings.

Will I need to wear a mask in indoor spaces at Levi's Stadium such as club spaces and restrooms?

  • Yes. In accordance with the updated health and safety requirements implemented in all Bay Area counties (including Santa Clara County), masks are required to be worn in all public indoor spaces regardless of vaccination status. Will there be capacity restrictions in club spaces?

  • No. There won't be any capacity restrictions beyond the standard Fire & Building code maximum capacity posted for each space.

Will there be vaccinated and unvaccinated seating sections at Levi's Stadium?

Will there be restrictions on attendees from out of state?

  • No.

Will we receive member credentials to scan into games for the 2022 season?

  • No. In an effort to minimize unnecessary contact, physical tickets and ticket member credentials will no longer be made available for access to Levi's Stadium on game days. All tickets will be accessed and scanned for entry via the 49ers app on your smartphone.

If I don't want to come to games in 2022, can I take the year off and credit my payments to 2022?

  • No. There will not be an option to defer payments to 2022.

Will I lose my account seniority or seats if I do not participate in the 2022 season?

  • Yes. Season ticket members that do not purchase their tickets for the 2022 season will forfeit their rights to buy their seats for future seasons and will lose their account seniority.
