Jessi Seumalo is in her second season with the 49ers and first as player personnel coordinator. She served as a scouting assistant with the team's personnel department in 2021.
Prior to joining the 49ers, Seumalo worked as the director of recruiting operations for Washington State University football during the 2020 season after spending the 2018-19 seasons as the recruiting operations coordinator for the University of Utah football program. The Corvallis, OR native began her career at Oregon State University as a recruiting graduate assistant (2017-18).
Seumalo played four seasons of collegiate volleyball at the College of Southern Idaho (2013-15) and Oregon State University (2015-17), where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in human development & family sciences.
Seumalo comes from a football family. Her mother, Karen, and her father, Joe, who is the defensive line coach at San Jose State University, have four sons, Isaac, Andrew, Noah and Levi. Isaac plays offensive line for the Philadelphia Eagles, Andrew is the recruiting coordinator/outside linebackers coach at Lafayette (PA) College and Noah played linebacker at Oregon State.
