Dee Ford, Matt Breida, Joe Staley ACTIVE vs. Saints in Week 14

The San Francisco 49ers will receive several reinforcements in the "Big Easy" on Sunday as a number of key contributors are set to make their return to the lineup against the New Orleans Saints. Dee Ford, who missed two games with a quad injury, is active in New Orleans. Running back Matt Breida and left tackle Joe Staley are also active in Week 14. Staley returns after undergoing finger surgery and Breida is coming off of an aggravated ankle back in Week 10 against the Seattle Seahawks. Breida, Tevin Coleman and Raheem Mostert will be relied on against the Saints third-ranked rushing defense.

San Francisco will be without Jaquiski Tartt, who suffered a rib injury in the Week 13 loss against the Baltimore Ravens. Kyle Shanahan confirmed second-year safety Marcell Harris will get the start in Tartt's absence. Last week, Harris forced and recovered a fumble on Lamar Jackson on his second play of the day.

The 49ers will also be down two receivers against New Orleans 17th ranked passing defense. Dante Pettis and Marquise Goodwin are ruled out for Sunday's NFC matchup. Pettis suffered a knee injury during a non-contact drill in Week 13 and returned to practice on a limited basis this week. Goodwin appeared on this week's injury report with a knee and foot injury and was listed as questionable heading into Sunday.

As for the Saints, they will be without two of their starting linebackers, however, Pro Bowl left tackle Terron Armstead is back in the lineup after dealing with a high ankle sprain.
