Photos: 49ers Team Up with Monster Jam to Recognize Local Military
49ers DL Ronald Blair and Monster Jam’s Grave Digger driver Morgan Kane worked with Operation Homefront to surprise a deserving USMC family with a Monster Jam bedroom makeover for their two-year-old son, 49ers gear and tickets to the Monster Jam show on Saturday, April 13. Staff Sgt JeVon TranColey and his family will enjoy the event with Blair, who grew up watching Grave Digger.
49ers EDU and National Geographic Host Free Screening of “Science Fair” to Local Youth
The Sundance Film Festival and SXSW audience award winning documentary, which aims to inspire the next generation of young scientists, was screened to more than 300 local youth at the 49ers Museum. Students were also treated to a surprise Q&A session by directors Cristina Costantini and Darren Foster.
49ers Participate in Mental Health Awareness Event
The 49ers partnered with Counseling and Support Services for Youth (CASSY) for a Mental Health Awareness event at a local Middle School. The 49ers joined students for small group discussions centered on managing stress and destigmatizing mental health.

The 49ers and Google.org announced a $2.35 million grant to the National Center for Youth Law (NYCL). After the press conference, 49ers Richard Sherman and Earl Mitchell met with 50 Santa Clara County area youth who are currently enrolled in NYCL partner programs.

Each player was paired with a special family and had the opportunity to connect with them post practice to show their appreciation and get to know one another. The families were also invited to attend the 49ers Salute to Service game the following day.
49ers EDU Partners with LEEDS FC for STEAM Camp
49ers EDU partnered with Leeds United FC to put on a STEAM and football camp in Leeds, England. The organizations worked with a local school, in a two-part experience, on their campus and at the stadium to bring history, engineering and football to life in a tangible and relevant way.
