Super Bowl LIX just wrapped up with the Philadelphia Eagles 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs, and the excitement is already shifting toward the next biggest NFL showdown—Super Bowl LX in the Bay Area at Levi's® Stadium.
The official handoff of hosting duties took place Monday morning in New Orleans, where San Francisco 49ers CEO Jed York, San Jose Mayor Matt Mahan, and Bay Area Host Committee President Zaileen Janmohamed were on hand to accept the ceremonial transition from the New Orleans Host Committee.
With this, the focus now turns to the Bay Area, which will welcome the world to Levi's® Stadium on February 8, 2026.

This marks the second Super Bowl to be held at Levi's® Stadium, following Super Bowl 50 in 2016, when the Denver Broncos defeated the Carolina Panthers 24-10. It is also the third time the Super Bowl has come to the Bay Area, dating back to Super Bowl XIX at Stanford Stadium, where the 49ers won their second Super Bowl title over the Miami Dolphins in 1985.
Super Bowl LX at Levi's® Stadium will be broadcast on NBC and streamed on Peacock.
As preparations begin, Bay Area officials are eager to learn from past hosts to ensure a world-class experience for fans, teams, and visitors. Officials have shared a focus on seamless travel, efficient accommodations, and showcasing the Bay Area's cultural diversity.
"Our presence at Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans has not just been about learning and planning – it's also about making a statement that the Bay Area is ready," Janmohamed said. "With innovation and creativity deeply-rooted in our DNA, our diverse communities, and our world-class sports leagues, we're crafting a Super Bowl experience for 2026 like no other and one that will leave a lasting legacy for the entire region for years to come."
With the ceremonial handoff complete, the Bay Area Host Committee is now fully engaged in preparing for an unforgettable Super Bowl experience. The time leading up to Super Bowl LX will be filled with planning and anticipation as Levi's® Stadium and the surrounding region gear up to host one of the biggest sporting events in the world. The road to Super Bowl LX has officially begun, and the Bay Area is ready to shine.
