Enter Fresno State wide receiver Davante Adams.
Considered by many to be a first-round prospect in the 2014 NFL Draft, the 6-foot-1, 212-pound wideout believes he's the best receiver in one of the deepest drafts ever.
"I know I'm ready to play immediately and handle business," Adams, a Palo Alto native, said on Friday.
Adams set school records in 2013, catching 131 passes for 1,718 receiving yards to go along with 24 touchdown catches.
Because of that production, Adams felt like it was an easy decision to leave Fresno State early.
Adams, however, loved his college offense and raved about his quarterback, Derek Carr.
"We had a pass option on every play," Adams said.
The play-making wideout was Carr's No. 1 option on many, if not every, one of those passing plays.
Heading into this year's draft, Adams recognizes that he's one name among a crowded wide receiver class. Having said that, Adams is confident he'll be the top wideout in the bunch.
"Obviously I feel like I'm the best," he said before noting that his confident opinion will only go so far. "It doesn't matter what I think. It's what the coaches and GMs think."
Adams believes he can line up inside and outisde in the NFL. He also said his basketball background allowed him to compete for passes all over the field.
