The 49ers continue to champion Girls Flag Football programs across the Bay Area and around the world. Since the sport's official sanctioning in California, the team has remained at the forefront—creating opportunities for more girls to compete, earn college scholarships, and make history on the field. Flag Football is rapidly growing nationwide and globally, and will make its Olympic debut at the 2028 Los Angeles Games.
Each year, 49ers PREP hosts the T.H.I.N.K. Gold! Conference, a day dedicated to empowering young women to reach their full potential in athletics, academics, and their communities. Participants refine their skills through Flag Football drills and gain inspiration from influential Bay Area women leaders, members of the 49ers front office, coaches, and staff all while learning the importance of living a healthy, well-rounded lifestyle.
Every summer, 49ers PREP hosts Gatorade-powered skills camps across the Bay Area. These camps feature skill development, position-specific drills, coaching from 49ers alumni, and competitive 7-on-7 instruction.
Through year-round programming, 49ers PREP has launched numerous initiatives to uplift and support Girls Flag Football throughout the region. From weekly player and coach spotlights to national-level recognition, PREP continually finds new ways to celebrate athletes and invest resources that help grow and advance the sport in the Bay Area.
