The 49ers Foundation is excited to invite Oakland based nonprofits to apply for operating support or programmatic funding of $100,000 per year for three years (for a total of $300,000).

The 49ers Foundation invests in game changers who leverage educational and wellness opportunities to empower youth in underserved and under-represented Bay Area communities. We build partnerships with local nonprofits that are sustainable, innovative, and have reach in the community. We believe in the power of our sports platform to level the playing field for young people in the Bay Area.

We are seeking nonprofit organizations in Oakland who create a measurable decrease in the opportunity gap among children 5-18 years of age, who due to arbitrary circumstances such as race, ethnicity, ZIP code, and socioeconomic status are provided unequal opportunities in life to achieve to the best of their potential.

The application portal opens on Monday, January 16, 2023 and closes on Friday, February 17, 2023.
