Girls High School Flag Football
The 49ers Girls High School Flag Football program is dedicated to creating access and opportunities for female student-athletes to compete in one of the fastest-growing sports: flag football. By equipping players, coaches, and parents with valuable resources and information, we aim to grow knowledge of the game while expanding opportunities for participation across the Bay Area.
COW/POW (Coach and Player of the Week)
49ers PREP presented by U.S. Bank and 49ers FLAG each season support high school football and flag football through selecting two Players of the Week and two Charlie Wedemeyer Memorial Coaches of the Week. Winners are highlighted on 49ers Foundation social media for their outstanding performances. Each School will receive a donation from the 49ers Foundation to support its program.
High School Takeovers
During the high school football season, 49ers PREP, presented by U.S. Bank, hosts High School Takeover events, showcasing both girls' flag football and varsity tackle games. These events feature special appearances from Sourdough Sam and 49ers alumni, adding to the excitement and energy of game day.
