Mike Sola is in his fourth year as a physical therapist with the 49ers. Sola is in his second stint with the 49ers, after serving as a seasonal athletic training intern for two seasons (2013-14). He is a certified athletic trainer and licensed physical therapist.

After completing his seasonal athletic training internships with the 49ers, Sola received his doctorate of physical therapy degree from Duke University. During physical therapy school Sola served as an assistant athletic trainer to Orange High School in Hillsborough, NC

Prior to joining the 49ers, Sola was a seasonal athletic training assistant with the University of Arkansas in 2012. He was responsible for the health and safety of the university's football team. Sola graduated from the University of Arkansas with a master's in athletic training in 2012.

Sola attended Arkansas Tech University where he received a bachelor's degree in physical education with a concentration in wellness science.
