Jeff Fong is in his 12th season with the 49ers and currently serves as Executive Vice President,
Finance. He oversees the organization's finance, accounting, payroll, and procurement
functions, reporting directly to the chief financial officer.
He joined the 49ers in 2014 as the organization's first financial planning and analysis hire. In his
current role, Fong leads a high-impact finance function focused on long-term strategy, people
development, and enterprise innovation. He developed the 49ers budgeting and forecasting
framework and has led multiple enterprise system upgrades—including a successful accounting
ERP transformation and the implementation of a modern payroll platform—to enable scalable,
sustainable growth.
From 2020 to 2024, Fong served as executive sponsor of APEX, the 49ers Asian American and
Pacific Islander employee resource group. He remains active in APEX and continues to host
"Lunches with Jeff," a monthly leadership series spotlighting influential voices across the
organization.
Fong is also an active member of Pro Sports Assembly (PRO), the industry association for
business leaders across American professional sports teams, leagues, unions, and venues.
This past year, he co-chaired The Assembly, PRO's flagship leadership retreat and workshop,
which brings together senior leaders from across the professional sports landscape to
collaborate on driving industry-wide value. He is also one of the founding leaders of PRO's
Finance Membership Resource Group.
Before joining the 49ers, Fong was the Finance Business Partner to the Chief Marketing Officer
at Juniper Networks. He also held finance roles at Agilent Technologies and began his career in
the audit practice at Ernst & Young LLP in San Jose, where he earned his CPA license.
Fong holds a B.S. in Business Administration and an M.B.A. from the University of California,
