Jeff Fong is in his 13th season with the 49ers and serves as Executive Vice President, Finance. He oversees the organization's finance, accounting, payroll, and procurement functions.
He joined the 49ers in 2014 as the organization's first financial planning and analysis hire. In his current role, Fong leads the finance organization with a focus on long-term strategy, talent development, and enterprise innovation. He developed the 49ers budgeting and forecasting framework and has led multiple enterprise system upgrades, including a successful accounting ERP transformation and implementation of a modern payroll platform to support scalable growth.
From 2020 to 2024, Fong served as executive sponsor of APEX, the 49ers Asian American and Pacific Islander employee resource group. He remains active in APEX and continues to host "Lunches with Jeff," a monthly leadership series featuring influential voices from across the organization and the broader sports and entertainment industry.
Fong serves as Treasurer and is a Governing Board member of Pro Sports Assembly (PRO), the industry association for business leaders across professional sports. A founding member of PRO, he has helped shape its strategic priorities and financial stewardship and co-chaired The Assembly 2025, the organization's flagship leadership retreat.
Before joining the 49ers, Fong served as Finance Business Partner to the Chief Marketing Officer at Juniper Networks. He also held finance roles at Agilent Technologies and began his career in the audit practice at Ernst & Young LLP in San Jose, where he earned his CPA license.
Fong holds a B.S. in Business Administration and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business. He resides in San Jose with his wife, Stephanie, and their two Shiba Inus, Ari and Kenzo.
