Cristina Hernandez is in her seventh season with the 49ers and currently serves as Vice
President, People Operations. In her role, she oversees total rewards, performance
management, training and development, and employee relations for the team and the stadium
management company.
Previously, she served as a Senior Manager and Director for the team. Prior to joining the
49ers, Hernandez was the Director of Human Resources for the Robotics Education &
Competition (REC) Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on engaging students in
hands-on, sustainable, and affordable STEM education programs. In this role, she built the HR
function from the ground up and administered the scholarship program. Prior to joining the REC
Foundation, Hernandez held a variety of HR leadership positions for both large and small
organizations.
Hernandez currently serves as a board advisory member for Town Cats of Morgan Hill, a
501(c)(3) non-profit rescue organization. She was previously on the board of directors.
Hernandez is a Bay Area native and received her Bachelor of Science in Business
Administration from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Hernandez and
her family currently reside in San Jose, CA.
