Now in his 14th season with the San Francisco 49ers, Chris Steele serves as Vice
President, Controller, where he leads the organization's accounting and procurement
operations. His role is instrumental in ensuring financial integrity and operational
efficiency across the team's various entities, including support for executive
decision-making, compliance, and league reporting.

efficiency across the team's various entities, including support for executive
decision-making, compliance, and league reporting.

Since joining the 49ers in 2012 during the early stages of Levi's® Stadium construction,
Steele has been integral to establishing the financial infrastructure that supports the
franchise today. From developing core organizational structures and implementing
accounting technologies to building out scalable processes, his leadership helped guide
the 49ers through a period of rapid growth and complexity.

Prior to joining the 49ers, Steele spent three years as a Senior Auditor at Lindquist LLP,
where he managed audit engagements across a diverse portfolio of public, private, and
nonprofit clients.

He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Business Management
from Saint Mary's College of California. He currently resides in Danville, CA, with his
wife, Allison, and their three children—Grayson, Vivian, and Liam.
