Biography
Matute enters his first season as defensive quality control with the 49ers after spending the 2025 season as the offensive line coach for Kent State University. Prior to his time at Kent State, Matute was an offensive analyst at Purdue University (2024) and graduate assistant at the University of Minnesota (2022-23). He began his coaching career at the University of Missouri, where he served one season (2021) as an offensive student assistant. Matute was also a member of the 49ers 2024 Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship, where he spent training camp working with the offensive line.
