How the 49ers Faithful See it

Prior to this weekend's October 5th matchup against the New England Patriots, San Francisco 49ers fans will have a unique opportunity to tell the NFL "how they see" the game of football, for a chance to be a part of Super Bowl XLIII. As part of the NFL/Samsung Super Ad Campaign, 49ers fans will have up to two minutes to tell their story of how they relate to the NFL. The "Super Ad: That's How I See It" trailer, presented by Samsung, will be traveling to multiple locations throughout the U.S. to gather stories from NFL fans. The best story, as determined by online fan voting, will become the focus of a pre-game Super Bowl commercial.

For the "Super Ad: That's How I See It" contest, 49ers fans can discuss their favorite NFL pre-game ritual, how they came to love the NFL, or their first memory of experiencing the NFL. The NFL will review fan submissions and post 48 finalist videos on www.NFL.com/SuperAd. Website users will be asked to vote on their favorite video. The story with the most votes will be turned into a pre-game Super Bowl XLIII ad, with the winning fan receiving a trip for two to Super Bowl XLIII on February 1, 2009.

While on the website, fans can also help pick which NFL player's story will be featured in this year's "Super Ad: Believe in Now!" commercial campaign. Last year, 240 players told their story in hopes of being featured in an NFL Super Bowl commercial. The winners, Ephraim Salaam and Chester Pitts of the Houston Texans, told the story of Pitts' unlikely road to the NFL, which included some inspirational encouragement from now-teammate Salaam.

The "Super Ad: That's How I See It" contest, located in the Bus Parking Lot, will be one of many interactive activities that fans can participate in as part of the game day festivities at Candlestick Park. Fans can also visit Faithful City presented by MetroPCS and the Bud Light GOLDMINE. Faithful City presented by MetroPCS features interactive games, food, merchandise and 49ers Gold Rush and Alumni autograph opportunities. The Bud Light GOLDMINE includes early NFL action on TVs, a live DJ, 49ers Alumni, Gold Rush performances, food and beverage and 49ers Merchandise Store.
