2019 San Francisco 49ers Mock Draft Monday 2.0

With Super Bowl LIII in the rear view mirror, it's now draft season for all 32 teams. Here's a look around the latest expert predictions as to what the San Francisco 49ers will do with the second-overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. The names aren't likely to vary much over the course of the next few months leading up to draft day as there remains a heavy emphasis on the defensive line.

Matt Miller, Bleacher Report: Quinnen Williams, DL, Alabama

"With the entire NFL salivating at the idea of interior pressure this offseason, Williams is an ideal fit and a great value for the 49ers."

Lance Zierlein, NFL.com: Rashan Gary, EDGE, Michigan

"Watching Josh Allen come off the board at No. 1 is a curveball the 49ers will need to be prepared to deal with. Ohio State's Nick Bosa is a more polished and game-ready edge rusher than Gary, but San Francisco could opt for explosiveness over polish."

Daniel Jeremiah, NFL.com: Gary

"Gary has the size of a defensive tackle but the skill set to play on the edge. He'll give the 49ers one of the best young D-lines in the NFL."

Bucky Brooks, NFL.com: Josh Allen, EDGE, Kentucky

"Allen would give the 49ers an explosive edge rusher with outstanding first-step quickness and burst."

Mel Kiper Jr., ESPN: Allen

"If you're talking about pure pass-rushing ability, the 6-foot-5, 230-pound Allen is right up there with Bosa."

Steve Palazzolo, Pro Football Focus: Williams

"The best player in the nation in 2018, Williams emerged as a dominant interior presence that can disrupt both the pass and the run games."

Dan Kadar, SB Nation: Allen

"Watching Allen, it's hard to find flaws in his game. He's an athletic pass rusher with versatility. He can come up and play the run. He has some experience dropping back in coverage and picking up players in man coverage. He's a player the 49ers can add and get a big contribution from early in his career."

Joe Marino, The Draft Network: Nick Bosa, EDGE, Ohio State

"Bosa is a refined technician with his hand usage, explosive mover and features exceptional play strength. He has the upside to become that next Myles Garrett, Von Miller or Khalil Mack caliber edge rusher in the NFL."

Ryan Wilson, CBS Sports: Bosa

"This is the best-case scenario for the 49ers."

R.J. White, CBS Sports: Allen

"I go back and forth between Allen and Quinnen Williams for the 49ers, and it'll ultimately come down to how each player performs during the coming months leading up to the draft."

Luke Easterling, USA Today: Bosa

"This is a dream scenario for the 49ers, who get the best overall prospect in the draft, who also just happens to fill the team's biggest need."

Chris Trapasso, CBS Sports: Bosa

"Dream fit here for Bosa and the 49ers. Despite massive early-round investment on the defensive line in the last few drafts, Bosa is the alpha rusher San Francisco desperately needs."

Vinnie Iyer, Sporting News: Bosa

"Bosa is a sleek edge force (6-4, 262 pounds) with even more upside than brother Joey."

Russell Brown, Cover 1: Bosa

"He brings a great pass rush plan to the table and is the most refined edge rusher in this class."

Tom Fornelli, CBS Sports: Allen

"It's possible that concerns about his run defense hurt his stock, but in my mind, his ability to go get the QB will outweigh everything else."

Tony Pauline, Draft Analyst: Bosa
