Tweet Recap: Top Prospects from Day 2 of the 2018 Senior Bowl

The second day of Senior Bowl practices is in the books and a few notable players missed the day with injuries. Miami (Fl.) defensive lineman Chad Thomas, Western Michigan cornerback Darius Phillips, Massachusetts tight end Adam Breneman, South Dakota State tight end Dallas Goedert and Virginia linebacker Micah Kiser all missed practice with various ailments. In addition, Fort Hayes State defensive lineman Nathan Shepherd left practice early with a hand injury.

After another exciting day in Mobile, Ala., we've collected a series of tweets from draft analysts who were on hand to recap what transpired. Both the North and South teams took part in their second-of-three practices from Ladd Peebles Stadium.

Here's a look at which prospects stood out on Wednesday.

Simply put; Mayfield is a better intermediate thrower, and Allen is better deep ball guy.

Nathan Shepherd tagged Hernandez on another 1 on 1 pass rush. Dmitri Flowers had a terrific seam RT and catch with one hand. Josh Allen is cooking deep routes perfectly. WR Hamilton has undressed nearly everyone this afternoon.

Good news for Shepherd is that he should be healed up by the Combine.

The good news for Fort Hays State DT Nathan Shepherd, a Senior Bowl standout before breaking his hand today: It’s a second metacarpal spiral fracture, source said. No surgery. Heal in 2-3 weeks. Should be ready for most drills at the combine.
