The excitement of the game will be the same, but many aspects of the gameday experience at Levi's® Stadium will reflect the new normal. Your health and safety, along with that of our players, coaches, and personnel, is – and always has been – priority number one.

Know Before You Go: Gameday Protocol FAQs

Here are the things you will need to know before attending a game in 2022.

What safety & security protocols will the 49ers implement this season to help lower the risk of COVID-19 at Levi's® Stadium?

  • The 49ers encourage all guests and employees in attendance to get vaccinated. We are proud to have been home to the largest vaccination site in the State of California with over 350,000 shots administered.
  • We have introduced several enhanced cleaning & disinfecting protocols including the use of UV lighting. Our disinfection team has a new uniform making them easy to identify on event day. Hand sanitizer stations are strategically placed throughout the stadium. Fans are encouraged to wash their hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Stadium staff will continue to have face coverings made available as an option.

How many people will be allowed to attend each home game this year?

  • We are preparing to host fans at Levi's® Stadium at full capacity this season.

Will suite guests be required to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test?

  • No. However, we do strongly encourage all guests to get the COVID-19 vaccine if they are eligible. If you are feeling sick or have symptoms related to COVID-19, please stay home.

Am I going to have to sign a waiver to attend games?

  • No. We do continue to remind all of our guests, vendors and employees by entering the stadium or stadium grounds that they assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19 and its variants.

Will we be required to wear a mask in the suite?

  • Fully vaccinated fans are not required to wear a mask in outdoor or open air spaces. All fans, regardless of vaccination status are required to wear a mask while indoors including club spaces, common areas outside of suites, restrooms, and elevators. Stadium staff will continue to have face coverings available as an option. Attendees must follow Santa Clara County Public Health Guidance for Face Coverings.

Will I need to wear a mask in indoor spaces at Levi's® Stadium such as club spaces and restrooms?

  • Yes. In accordance with the updated health and safety requirements implemented in all Bay Area counties (including Santa Clara County), masks are required to be worn in all public indoor spaces regardless of vaccination status. Will we have normal access to other club spaces in the stadium?

Will PPE be provided in our suite (masks, hand sanitizer, etc.)?

  • PPE will not be provided, but can be made available upon request.

Will there be restrictions on attendees from out of state?

  • No.

Will there be capacity restrictions in suites or club spaces?

  • No. There won't be any capacity restrictions beyond the standard Fire & Building code maximum capacity posted for each space.

Will we receive credentials to scan into games for the 2021 season?

  • No. In an effort to minimize unnecessary contact, physical tickets and credentials will no longer be made available for access into the Levi's® Stadium on gamedays. All tickets will be accessed and scanned for entry via the 49ers app on your smartphone.

Will there be vaccinated and unvaccinated seating sections at Levi's® Stadium?

Will we be able to book boardroom meetings this season, and are there any changes to the boardroom meeting protocol?

  • Yes. We will unveil the new safety & security protocols and visitor management requirements in the near future.

Will there be any third-party events offered to Suite Partners in 2021?

  • We are expecting 2022 to be a very busy year for third-party events and we will continue to keep Suite Partners updated on any events that come in 2021.

Specific gameday protocol and safety measure FAQs

Will I be getting my temperature taken prior to entering the stadium?

  • No. Temperature checks will not be performed as part of the entry screening process. However, if you are feeling sick or have symptoms related to COVID-19, please stay home.

Will there be any changes to security screening before entry?

  • Fans attending games and events at Levi's® Stadium are and will continue to be subject to search. Click here for a comprehensive list of security rules and regulations.

Can I bring a clear plastic bag to carry my personal items in on gamedays?

  • Yes. All clear plastic bags must measure less than 12" x 6" x 12". Click here for more details on the clear bag policy.

Will there be social distancing guidelines in place for standing in line for the bathroom or concessions?

  • No. However, we do ask that all guests be respectful of an individual's personal space.

Will there be any changes to the time parking lots open?

  • No. Parking lots will open 3.5 hours prior to kickoff. Click here to review a full description of parking lot operations for the 2021 season.

Will I be able to tailgate before the game?

  • Yes. Tailgating will be available in designated lots and all guests must adhere to the tailgating guidelines including the end of tailgating at kickoff. Click here to review a full description of parking lot and tailgate operations for the 2021 season.

Will we still have access to the suite 3 hours prior to kickoff?

  • Yes, the suite will open when Levi's® Stadium gates open 3 hours prior to kickoff. All gameday information will be provided in the gameday guide sent out prior to each game.

As a Suite Partner, will I still have free access to the 49ers Museum presented by Foxconn Industrial Internet on gamedays?

  • Yes. Museum operation will resume for all 49ers home games.

Will the NRG Solar Terrace be open for tastings?

  • Yes, the NRG Solar Terrace will be open for all day games. Access will begin when gates open up until kickoff.

Will our allotted Field Passes be available to redeem?

  • Additional information about gameday benefits will be sent to Suite Partners as the season comes closer.

Will Suite Passes be available to redeem?

  • Additional information about gameday benefits will be sent to Suite Partners as the season comes closer.

Will we be able to request Gold Rush, Alumni and photographer visits to our suite?

  • Additional information about gameday benefits will be sent to Suite Partners as the season comes closer.

Will we have normal access to other club spaces in the stadium?

Will I have access to standing room only suite tickets as I have in the past?

  • Yes, standing room only tickets will be available to you as they have been in the past.

Will the 49ers Team Store and other merchandise locations be open on gamedays?

  • Yes. The 49ers Team Store presented by Visa will open 3 hours prior to kickoff and close 1 hour post game.

Will I be able to pay with cash at the 49ers Team Store and other merchandise locations?

  • No. Levi's® Stadium is now a cashless venue. However, reverse ATMs have been installed and are located at Section C117 on the main concourse, in the United Club, at Section 308 on the Zenni Zone in the upper concourse and at the 49ers Team Store (Intel Gate A) for those that may not be inclined to use credit or debit cards.

Will there be any restrictions on where I can consume food and beverages?

  • No. Fans will be permitted to consume food and beverages in any space for which their ticket grants access.

Will there be any changes to our suite catering experience?

  • No, your food and beverage experience will not change. We look forward to providing an exceedingly great food & beverage experience, including new offerings and a new Appellation 49 Program.

Will we have a dedicated suite attendant?

  • Yes. We are committed to providing you exceptional personalized service attendants in your suite.

Will suite attendants be required to wear a mask in the suite?

  • Yes. Fan Health Promise

All ticket holders must agree that neither they nor any of their guests, will attend a game if any one or more of the following is true on game day:

  • Within the prior 14 days, they have tested positive for, or been exposed to someone who has tested positive for, COVID-19;
  • Within the prior 48 hours, they have experienced symptoms of COVID-19 (e.g., a fever of 100.4⁰F or higher, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking, muscle pain/achiness, headache, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, nasal congestion, runny nose, vomiting, diarrhea, fatigue or any other symptoms associated with COVID-19 identified by the CDC);
  • Within the last 14 days, they have traveled to any state or international territory identified by federal or applicable local governments as subject to travel or quarantine advisories due to COVID-19.

All guests should evaluate their risk in determining whether to attend a game.
