Anthony Davis Reinstated by NFL; NT Ian Williams Placed on Reserve/Non-Football Injury List

The 90-man roster officially reported for San Francisco 49ers training camp presented by SAP.

The San Francisco 49ers announced that T Anthony Davis has been reinstated by the National Football League from the Reserve/Retired List, and subsequently has been added to the team's 90-man roster. In order to make room on the roster, the team has placed NT Ian Williams on the Reserve/Non-Football Injury List.

Originally the 11th overall selection in the 2010 NFL Draft by San Francisco, Davis started all 71 games in which he has appeared, as well as eight postseason contests from 2010-14. A 26-year-old native of Piscataway, NJ, Davis attended Rutgers University where he played in 38 games (32 starts) for the Scarlet Knights.

Williams (6-1, 305) originally signed with San Francisco as an undrafted free agent in July of 2011, and went on to make the 53-man roster that season. During his five-year career, he has appeared in 31 games (26 starts) and registered 137 tackles, 2.0 sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
