The San Francisco 49ers closed out the 2017 season with a punishing, 34-13, victory over the Los Angeles Rams. Having clinched their first playoff appearance since 2004, the Rams sat several starters in the regular season finale. That led to the 49ers devastating the Rams backups.
A season-high six members of the 49ers made Pro Football Focus' “Team of the Week" for their performance against Los Angeles. Take a look at who made the cut.
Eric Reid – 99.6 Grade
Reid arguably had his best game of the season against the Rams. Aside from not missing a single tackle in the 49ers run defense, Reid went on to register a team-high six solo tackles and four defensive stops. The pending free agent allowed six catches for only 21 yards and broke up a pass.
Joe Staley – 95.5 Grade
Staley and the 49ers offensive line had a big game on Sunday. The 11-year left tackle did not allow a single sack, hit or hurry on 33 pass blocking snaps on Sunday, earning a 100.0 pass blocking efficiency rating.
K'Waun Williams – 90.2 Grade
Williams was thrown at five times and allowed just two receptions for negative yardage. Williams also forced a fumble in the second half that led to San Francisco's second takeaway.
Laken Tomlinson – 90.2 Grade
On what was referred to as his "best game of the season," Tomlinson did not allow a single pressure against the Rams, marking the second game of his season with a perfect day in pass protection. Tomlinson also impressed as run blocker, producing a PFF grade of 86.5.
Pierre Garçon – 88.1 Grade
Hyde finished Sunday's contest with 90 yards on 15 carries, where 49 of those yards came after contact. Hyde also forced four missed tackles against the Rams reserves. His two scores against Los Angeles set a single-season career-high with eight rushing touchdowns in 2017.
Daniel Kilgore – 85.9 Grade
As the third member of the 49ers offensive line to make the team of the week, Kilgore allowed just one quarterback hurry over 33 pass-blocking snaps. NFL analyst Shaun O'Hara named Kilgore and the rest of the 49ers o-line as the top offensive line performance of Week 17.
