How do you spend your time outside of Gold Rush?
I love anything active which is why I moved to California! Outside of Gold Rush and work, I love to go on walks with friends to explore more of the Bay Area and love going to work out classes. I also love to travel (specifically to areas where I can ski) and explore new places too!
Where were you born and where do you live now?
I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas and went to school at TCU in Fort Worth, TX. After 22 years in the same state, I moved to San Francisco, where I have lived for two years now!
Tell us more about your job.
I have been lucky enough to find a job in which I can explore and utilize all of my different passions. I am extremely passionate about technology and fostering relationships, and I get to combine both of those in my role. I am a Software Client Leader at a big technology firm where I get to interact with clients every day, solving their technical needs through demonstrations, conversations, etc.
What is a non-profit organization you're involved in and why did you choose to get involved?
My sorority in college partnered with the non-profit organization Make-A-Wish. It was my first introduction to the organization; however, I have been passionate about it ever since. I have worked directly with the organization to host "wish parties" for kids in their illness journeys. It was amazing to see the impact we could make on these kids!
What does it mean to be a Gold Rush Cheerleader?
A Gold Rush Cheerleader comes with a number of honors and responsibilities. The Gold Rush Cheerleaders before us created a fantastic standard for us to uphold. Being a cheerleader consists of sophistication, determination, a positive character, and so much more!
Tell us about your journey of becoming a Gold Rush cheerleader.
I have grown up dancing since I was 2 years old. I have danced competitively all my life and was on my high school cheer team. I love performing, so I knew I wanted to be on a dance team in college. I was on the TCU Showgirls dance team for 4 years and served as captain my senior year. After college, I moved to the Bay for my full-time job and was so excited I could do Gold Rush with my work schedule! I was fortunate enough to make Gold Rush right when I moved to the Bay, so it made the transition out of college/moving states a little bit easier, having all my teammates there to support me!
Tell us about your favorite community appearance that you've attended as a Gold Rush Cheerleader.
Players for a Purpose! I have been fortunate enough to do this appearance both years I have been on the team, and it is extremely rewarding. It is a night focused on benefiting the 49ers Foundation through different activities and auctions. All the players, past and current, 49ers leadership, and many dedicated 49ers fans are there to make it the best night possible!
