- 9:40PM PST49ers vs. FalconsSan Francisco and Candlestick Park will be featured together in a nationally televised, prime time bout one last time during the regular season, as the 49ers play host to the Atlanta Falcons on ESPN’s Monday Night Football on December 23. The matchup will mark the 36th Monday Night Football game that Candlestick Park has hosted since opening in 1971, the most of any stadium in NFL history. San Francisco defeated the Falcons 28-24 in the NFC Championship Game last season, earning the franchise’s sixth Super Bowl appearance. The 49ers own the overall series 44-30-1, including a 26-11 mark at home.
