Jimmy Garoppolo Nominated for Two Player of the Week Honors

Jimmy Garoppolo's Week 15 performance earned him not one, but two nominations for weekly honors. Garoppolo is up for the Castrol Edge Clutch Performer and FedEx Air and Ground Player of the Week.

Garoppolo led the San Francisco 49ers to a 25-23 victory over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday which marked the team's fourth win in five games.

The 49ers starting quarterback finished 31-of-43 passing for career-high 381 yards and a touchdown. He was responsible for engineering a seven-play, 48-yard drive that set up Robbie Gould for a walk-off 45-yard game-winning field goal.

Garoppolo's 381 passing yards broke his previous career high set the week prior against the Houston Texans (334 yards). He became the first 49ers quarterback with back-to-back 300-yard passing games since Jeff Garcia in 2000.

Garoppolo set a new 49ers franchise record with 1,008 passing yards over his first three starts with the club.

Garoppolo is now a perfect 5-0 as an NFL starter.
