49ers Studios to Debut Two TV Shows This Month

The completion of Levi's® Stadium has led to new production studios and expanded operations for 49ers Studios in 2014. This week marks the launch of two new signature shows by the team's Emmy Award-winning, in-house production team. Debuting this weekend, "Forty Niner Way presented by NRG" and "The Faithful" will air on both Comcast SportsNet Bay Area and NBC Bay Area (KNTV) each week of the 2014 season.

"In the past 12 months we've traveled thousands of miles to deliver fans unparalleled access to exclusive 49ers lore, both present and past, stories of unique personalities and more," said Robert Alberino Jr., 49ers Studios VP and Executive Producer. "These two in-house television shows will provide our Faithful fans unparalleled exclusive access to the 49ers each week of the season, highlighted by engaging content available for viewing throughout the week and before home games at Levi's Stadium."

"Forty Niner Way presented by NRG" is a magazine style show that will take viewers inside the team facility for exclusive one-on-one interviews with players, coaches and alumni, as well as weekly player audio that will get fans closer to the franchise than ever before. Along with these elements, the show will feature the team's production crew, 49ers Studios' travels during the offseason as they captured compelling stories that showcase the players' and coaches' lives off the field.

"Forty Niner Way" will air on CSNBA each Saturday at 8:00 a.m., 6:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. and re-air on KNTV each Sunday at 1:30 a.m. after Saturday Night Live and the local news.

"The Faithful" is a documentary series narrated by 49ers alumnus and two-time Super Bowl Champion Dwight

Hicks, the tour guide on a journey that will take viewers into the greatest stories never told.  Irwin Herlihy is the true definition of a super fan – he has missed only two home games in 49ers history.  Al Madrigal, Tommy Johnigan, David Hunstberger and Dan Soder are four professional comedians headed to the comedic summit who bleed Red and Gold. The Faithful will also tell the story of the Niner Empire and share the experience of what it's like to fly the team flag in enemy territory. Stories of celebrities, soldiers, fans, alumni will all be told during "The Faithful" in its debut season.

"The Faithful" airs each week on NBC (KNTV) following NBC's Sunday Night Football and will re-air several times each week on CSNBA. Along with being the home of the "The Faithful" trailer video and a full broadcast schedule, 49ers.com/TheFaithful provides members of the Faithful the opportunity to submit their personal fan story for a chance to be featured in a future episode.

"These two new shows are representations of the great things happening off the field for the San Francisco 49ers and our fans," said Alberino. "The extreme passion that people feel for this team is exactly what 'Forty Niner Way presented by NRG' and 'The Faithful' will reflect.  These unique programs will serve as further demonstrations of the unique access and content fans are accustomed to from 49ers Studios."
