49ers Sign RB Shaun Draughn

The San Francisco 49ers announced on Monday that they have signed RB Shaun Draughn to a one-year deal.

Draughn (5-11, 205) originally signed as an undrafted free agent with the Washington Redskins on July 28, 2011. Throughout his five-year career, he has spent time with Washington (2011), Kansas City (2011-12), Baltimore (2013) and Indianapolis (2013). In 2014, he appeared in two games with the Chicago Bears, four games with the San Diego Chargers and four games with the Cleveland Browns. This season, he saw action in five games with the Browns before being waived by the team on October 20, 2015. In his career, he has appeared in 35 games and registered 75 carries for 264 yards and two touchdowns.

A 27-year-old native of Tarboro, NC, Draughn attended the University of North Carolina, where he appeared in 44 games, and finished his career with 2,070 yards rushing and 10 touchdowns along with 50 receptions for 268 receiving yards and one touchdown.
