The 49ers Foundation's Golden Getaway Weekend and Celebrity Golf Tournament presented by Chevron reached new heights in 2024, raising a record $2.5 million to benefit Bay Area youth.

Four a fourth-straight year, the three-day fundraising event brought 450 guests to the Carmel Valley Ranch including some of the biggest names in Bay Area sports including Hall of Fame wide receiver Jerry Rice, soon-to-be enshrined Hall of Fame linebacker Patrick Willis, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan and many more. A total of 12 current 49ers players, six 49ers coaches and football operations personnel, 14 player alumni and 49ers executives and ownership were also in attendance for the getaway.

The weekend had something for everyone with a full slate of activities available to guests over the course of the weekend. However, no event was more competitive than the Celebrity Golf Tournament presented by Chevron that took place on Friday morning. The scramble-format golf tournament had foursomes accompanied by their celebrity guest - right tackle Colton McKivitz helped guide his squad to a first-place victory."

The premiere event of the weekend was the "Forever Faithful" Wine Reception, Dinner and Auction Presented by Chevron that helped vault the 49ers Foundation to its record-breaking $2.5 million raised to support 49ers PREP and EDU programs. Both entities work tirelessly over the course of the year to bring sports and education opportunities to underserved youth of the Bay Area. The generous contributions from the guests of Golden Getaway continue to fuel the mission of the 49ers Foundation and show they are "Faithful to the Next Generation."

"Our impact would not be possible without the unwavering support of the Faithful, 49ers ownership, our players, legends, and leadership," said 49ers Foundation Executive Director Justin Prettyman. "We feel so fortunate to have had a spectacular weekend full of amazing memories. The funds raised will enable us to create sustainable impact throughout the Bay Area."
