The San Francisco 49ers announced today that DE Ray McDonald has been placed on the Active Physically Unable to Perform List. The team has also released G Matthew Huners.
McDonald was a third round selection by the 49ers in the 2007 NFL Draft. He has played in 24 career games and has recorded 30 tackles and 2.0 sacks.
Huners signed with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent on April 30, 2009, out of South Florida.
