When not making an impact on the field, the San Francisco 49ers are committed to making a difference in the community. Through a variety of events and programs the 49ers strive to bring smiles to the faces of thousands of underserved youth and their families.
49ers Youth Football encourages health, fitness, and player safety through a variety of interactive programs and events including: 49ers Play 60, “Football Camp for the Stars,” USA Football Heads-Up Tackling Clinics, and the 49ers Youth Football 3-Day Camps.
In partnership with organizations like Make-A-Wish and the Dream Foundation, the 49ers goal is to enrich the lives of individuals with life threatening medical conditions through the Wish Fulfillment Program.
Now in its 23rd year, the 49ers Foundation supports development programs for underserved youth that keep them “Safe, On Track, and In School." Since 1992, the Foundation has donated $30.6 million to support non-profits, contributing $4.6 million in 2014, including a $1 million grant to launch the 49ers STEM Leadership Institute at Cabrillo Middle School.
Through the excitement of football, our hope is to provide an uplifting day of distraction and excitement for youth facing health and life challenges through the 49ers Champions Program.
Earlier in the week, San Francisco 49ers guard Alex Boone hosted a BBQ and Levi's stadium tour event for military veterans and their families.
