The excitement of the game will be the same, but many aspects of the gameday experience at Levi's® Stadium will reflect the new normal. Your health and safety, along with that of our players, coaches, and personnel, is – and always has been – priority number one.

Know Before You Go: Gameday Protocol FAQs

Here are the things you will need to know before attending a game in 2022.

What safety & security protocols will the 49ers implement this season to help lower the risk of COVID-19 at Levi's® Stadium?

  • The 49ers encourage all guests and employees in attendance to get vaccinated. We are proud to have been home to the largest vaccination site in the State of California with over 350,000 shots administered.
  • We have introduced several enhanced cleaning & disinfecting protocols, including UV lighting. Our disinfection team has a new uniform making them easy to identify on the event day. Hand sanitizer stations are strategically placed throughout the stadium. Fans are encouraged to wash their hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Stadium staff will continue to have face coverings made available as an option.

How many people will be allowed to attend each home game this year?

  • We are preparing to host fans at Levi's Stadium at total capacity this season.

Will I have to be vaccinated or show proof of a negative COVID-19 test to enter games this season?

  • No. However, we do strongly encourage all guests to get the COVID-19 vaccine if they are eligible. If you are feeling sick or have symptoms related to COVID-19, please stay home.

Am I going to have to sign a waiver to attend games?

  • No. We do continue to remind all of our guests, vendors, and employees by entering the stadium or stadium grounds that they assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19 and its variants.

Will I have to wear a mask while attending games?

  • Fully vaccinated fans are not required to wear a mask while outdoors. All fans, regardless of vaccination status are required to wear a mask while indoors including in club spaces, restrooms, and elevators. Stadium staff will continue to have face coverings made available as an option. Attendees must follow Santa Clara County Public Health Guidance for Face Coverings.

Will I need to wear a mask in indoor spaces at Levi's Stadium such as club spaces and restrooms?

  • Yes. In accordance with the updated health and safety requirements implemented in all Bay Area counties (including Santa Clara County), masks are required to be worn in all public indoor spaces regardless of vaccination status. Will there be capacity restrictions in club spaces?

  • No. There won't be any capacity restrictions beyond the standard Fire & Building code maximum capacity posted for each space.

Will there be vaccinated and unvaccinated seating sections at Levi's Stadium?

Will there be restrictions on attendees from out of state?

  • No.

Will we receive member credentials to scan into games for the 2022 season?

  • No. In an effort to minimize unnecessary contact, physical tickets and ticket member credentials will no longer be made available for access to Levi's Stadium on game days. All tickets will be accessed and scanned for entry via the 49ers app on your smartphone.

If I don't want to come to games in 2022, can I take the year off and credit my payments to 2022?

  • No. There will not be an option to defer payments to 2022.

Will I lose my account seniority or seats if I do not participate in the 2022 season?

  • Yes. Season ticket members that do not purchase their tickets for the 2022 season will forfeit their rights to buy their seats for future seasons and will lose their account seniority.

Specific gameday protocol and safety measure FAQs

Will I be getting my temperature taken prior to entering the stadium?

  • No. Temperature checks will not be performed as part of the entry screening process. However, if you are feeling sick or have symptoms related to COVID-19, please stay home.

Will there be any changes to security screening before entry?

  • Fans attending games and events at Levi's Stadium are and will continue to be subject to search. Click here for a comprehensive list of security rules and regulations.

Can I bring a clear plastic bag to carry my personal items in on gamedays?

  • Yes. All clear plastic bags must measure less than 12" x 6" x 12". Click here for more details on the clear bag policy.

Can I bring in my own food and drinks?

  • Yes, with some exceptions. Click here to view a comprehensive list of permitted and prohibited items.

Will social distancing guidelines exist for standing in line for the bathroom or concessions?

  • No. However, we do ask that all guests be respectful of an individual's personal space.

Will there be any changes to the time parking lots open?

Will I be able to tailgate before the game?

  • Yes. Tailgating will be available in designated lots and all guests must adhere to the tailgating guidelines including the end of tailgating at kickoff. Click here to review a complete description of the parking lot and tailgate operations for the 2022 season.

Will early-entry tailgating be available this season?

  • Yes, in specified lots only. Rules and application information will be shared via email with season ticket members prior to the start of the season. All tailgating must end at kickoff.

As a season ticket member, will I still have free access to the 49ers Museum presented by Foxconn Industrial Internet on gamedays?

  • Yes. Museum operation will resume for all 49ers home games.

Will the 49ers Team Store and other merchandise locations be open on gamedays?

  • Yes. The 49ers Team Store presented by Visa will open 3 hours prior to kickoff and close 1-hour post game.

Will I be able to pay with cash at the 49ers Team Store and other merchandise locations?

  • No. Levi's Stadium is now a cashless venue. Reverse ATMs have been installed and are located at section C117 on the main concourse, in the United Club, section 308 on the Zenni Zone upper concourse, and Toyota Gate F for those that may not be inclined to use credit or debit cards. There are no ATMs at Levi's Stadium.

Will the 49ers still offer on-field opportunities such as field passes or flag ceremonies?

  • A limited number of opportunities may occasionally be available during the 2022 season. Season ticket members can inquire about participation in pregame flag ceremony opportunities by contacting the 49ers Membership Service Team at memberservices@49ers.com.

Will all concession stands and food service be operating on gamedays?

  • Yes.

Will season ticket members have access to the Member Inclusive Menu (MIM) in 2022?

  • Yes. The Member Inclusive Menu, which provides select food and beverage items at no additional cost on gamedays, is available to all 49ers season ticket members and their guests who have received a transferred ticket. Members will be eligible to claim up to 4 (four) Member Inclusive Menu items per transaction. Members can place multiple orders throughout the game with service concluding at the end of the 3rd quarter.

How will season ticket members verify their membership to have access to the Member Inclusive Menu?

  • Season ticket members will need to log in to the 49ers app on the App Store or Google Play with their season ticket login information. The app will recognize all season ticket member accounts and automatically apply the member discount on the check-out page.

Where can I find a comprehensive list of all items offered on the Member Inclusive Menu and where they can be found?

Will there be any restrictions on where I can consume food and beverages?

  • No. Fans will be permitted to consume food and beverages in any space to which their ticket grants access.

How do I order concessions?

  • Enter your favorite stand location and have your 49ers App ready. Proceed to the next available kiosk and begin adding items to your cart. Member Inclusive Menu eligible items will be noted with a white star in a red circle. You may receive up to 4 eligible items per transaction at no additional cost. Once you've selected all of your items, go to your cart by tapping "Pay Now" on the kiosk. You must complete the transaction with the 49ers App to receive your Member Inclusive Menu discount.

Will I be able to use cash for payment at concession stands?

  • No. Levi's Stadium is now a cashless venue. How can I find my order history or receipt after a game?

Order history is available for 14 days from your transaction—Tap Order History on the Levi's Stadium tab in the 49ers App.

Fan Health Promise

All ticket holders must agree that neither they nor any of their guests, will attend a game if any one or more of the following is true on game day:

  • Within the prior 14 days, they have tested positive for, or been exposed to someone who has tested positive for, COVID-19;
  • Within the prior 48 hours, they have experienced symptoms of COVID-19 (e.g., a fever of 100.4⁰F or higher, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking, muscle pain/achiness, headache, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, nasal congestion, runny nose, vomiting, diarrhea, fatigue or any other symptoms associated with COVID-19 identified by the CDC);
  • Within the last 14 days, they have traveled to any state or international territory identified by federal or applicable local governments as subject to travel or quarantine advisories due to COVID-19.

All guests should evaluate their risk in determining whether to attend a game.
