The 49ers Foundation Mentorship Academy, supported by the William V. Campbell Family Foundation, Dignity Health, and Chime, is a three-step program designed to help traditional high school tackle and female flag football players grow as leaders on and off the field. Student-athletes take part in a Positive Coaching Alliance workshop on becoming young coaches, engage in rotations with the 49ers rookie class, and then apply their learnings by leading mentorship initiatives in their own communities. Captains who successfully complete their projects will be recognized at a 49ers game and entered into consideration for the Unity Award, highlighting their commitment to making a positive impact through sport.
