What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about health and wellness. I love researching how to heal through foods and daily practices, taking supplements that your body is deficient in, and leveling out hormones.
What professional accomplishment are you most proud of?
I am most proud of earning my degree in speech pathology at Keck School of Medicine at USC. It was challenging and pushed me to become the best version of myself. I connected and worked in underserved communities, where I pursued my passion for helping others.
Tell us more about your job.
I love my job so much! I work at a Speech Therapy clinic where I provide in-home speech services for children ages 0-3 and their caregivers. Together, we focus on the child's needs to help them flourish and develop. I expand language through a play-based approach and focus on educating the parent/caregiver as much as possible, so their child can thrive.
What is a non-profit organization you're involved in and why did you choose to get involved?
I have had the opportunity to connect with survivors at B.R.A.I.N. in southern California. Friends with Brain Injury (F.B.I.) is a social meeting that takes place weekly where brain injury survivors and community members gather to share life. This organization is important to me because many survivors lose their ability to communicate socially with others and need rehabilitation. I love making new friends and memories with the survivors. Despite these individuals' adversity, their positive energy radiates in the room and leave you with a new perspective.
Who or what inspires you?
My teammates inspire me so much. I feel honored to be a part of a group of individuals who chase their dreams while being positive lights in the world. Everyone has so much to contribute and has a positive attitude no matter how busy or challenging the weeks may get. Thanks to Gold Rush and the incredible staff, I am pushed to become the best version of myself.
What impact do cheerleaders have during a game and/or in the community?
Cheerleaders are devoted to the community and camaraderie. They are uplifting, selfless, hardworking, positive, and encouraging. During games, we connect with fans and share our positive energy throughout the stands. In the community, we connect and unite individuals and make them feel heard and supported. We also inspire people from all walks of life and encourage them to chase their dreams.
What do you like most about being a member of the Gold Rush?
I love sharing my passion for dance and performance with like-minded individuals. Being a part of a team supporting the best football team in the NFL is a dream come true! Nothing beats pursuing your passion and being surrounded by great people. It is a community that I will always be a part of and connected to.
Who is YOUR biggest cheerleader?
My biggest cheerleader is my grandma! She and I are like twin flames and are very similar. She loves to dance and help others, just like me. When I am performing, I always channel her.
Tell us about your journey of becoming a Gold Rush cheerleader.
Growing up, my studio director and dance teacher were members on Gold Rush. I have always looked up to them and am forever grateful for their impact on my life. My dance instructors have shaped me into who I am today and always led with grace. Holding their legacy and joining Gold Rush after completing my schooling is an honor.
