49ers Youth Football encourages health, fitness, and 60 minutes of physical activity per day through a variety of interactive programs and the NFL’s Play 60 initiative, including Hometown Huddle, Play 60 Super School events, and “Football Camp for the Stars.”
A series of non-contact football camps which address the fundamentals and importance of positive sportsmanship of football, in addition to year-round Gatorade Jr. Training Camps which offer children ages 7-14 the opportunity to learn football skills such as passing, ball carrying and tackling while also learning about proper hydration.
Each week throughout the high school football season, the 49ers recognize a Bay Area high school coach as the Charlie Wedemeyer Memorial Coach of the Week.
Week-after-week during the high school football season, the 49ers select a high school football player who represents positive sportsmanship and leadership on and off the field as the 49ers Player of the Week.
49ers and USA football provide the essential tools to ensure coaches, players, and parents are up-to-date on the latest player-safety practices, hydration knowledge, and concussion awareness.
Earlier in the week, San Francisco 49ers guard Alex Boone hosted a BBQ and Levi's stadium tour event for military veterans and their families.
