- Even as a young child, Victor Bolden Jr. remembers he would always be itching to play football. “Growing up that’s all I wanted to do was play football,” said Bolden Jr. “I didn’t really start playing until eighth grade. I was itching to play.” His father, Victor Bolden Sr. first introduced his son to the game as a child and immediately became his biggest influence on the field. “He was the first one to teach me the game and he’s been there since day one with anything I’ve wanted to do.” While Bolden Jr.’s father is his main influence on the field, when it comes to his biggest influence off the field, he gives that role to his mother. “She supports me with anything I do,” said Bolden Jr. “Whether it be school, sports, she just wants me to give out full effort and give it everything I have.”
- Prior to his 2015 season at Oregon State University, Bolden, along with fellow teammates, participated in a special forces leadership development program at Camp Williams in Utah. Camp Williams is a National Guard training site operated by the Utah National Guard.
