Salli Clavelle is in her fifth season with the 49ers and second as an area scout after serving three seasons as a pro personnel analyst. In addition to school visits and player evaluations, Clavelle provides all-star game evaluations and pro day evaluations in preparation for the NFL Draft.
As a pro personnel analyst, Clavelle assisted the pro scouting department in their evaluation of NFL talent to prepare the club for acquisitions through free agency, trades and the daily waiver wire. During the season, Clavelle assisted the coaching staff in preparation for the 49ers upcoming opponents through his advance scouting. During the offseason, she assisted in evaluating the team's roster prior to free agency.
In her role as a scouting assistant, Clavelle assisted the college and pro scouting departments in their evaluation of NFL talent. For college, she was responsible for evaluating talent on the Northeast Region. In-season, she attended college games and watched film on all the prospects in the draft. For pro, she assisted on miscellaneous tasks such as updated the prospect boards, prepared cut-ups on prospects that are available at the end of the season, maintained the prospect database, and assisted with meeting organization.
Prior to joining the 49ers, Clavelle was the Director of On-Campus Recruiting at Tulane University from 2016-2018, where she managed the prospect database of potential high school prospects to Tulane and also players with the ability to play collegiately.
A native of New Orleans, LA, Clavelle graduated from Edna Karr High School, and continued her higher education at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX. Clavelle earned a Master's degree in Sports Management in December of 2016, and an undergraduate degree in Science in May of 2015 from Sam Houston State University where she was a member of the SHSU Women's basketball team from 2011-2016. Her uncle, Shannon Clavelle Sr. – went to the University of Colorado and later drafted to the Buffalo Bills in 1995. He played in the NFL with the Green Bay Packers – winning the Super Bowl in 1996, and the Kansas City Chiefs in 1997
