Isles Named Kelly-Moore Paints HS Player of the Week

The 49ers High School Player of the Week Award for week four goes to Ronnie Isles from Andrew Hill High School.

This past Friday, the Andrew Hill High School football team, defeated Prospect 57-3

Transferring to Andrew Hill High School nearly the end of his junior year, Ronnie Isles has gotten used to introductions. Five weeks into his senior football season, there are a few teams who wish that they had never met him on the field - he has been challenging opposing defenses with his speed and toughness.

Last week Isles went for 405 total yards - 252 yards rushing on 7 carries, 3 rushing touchdowns, 90 yard kickoff return for a TD, 3 receptions, and 1 receiving touchdown. Of Ronnie's 5 touchdowns, none came from less than 55 yards out. However, although his numbers may be outrageous, his attitude isn't.

Coach Jeff Borges shared that, "At halftime [Isles] stood up and recognized the offensive line for their great blocking."

Isles said that it was because of them, that he was able to have success. He also nominated the whole line for their team's "offensive player of the game." That's a pretty nice compliment, coming from a player who had a 36 yard per carry average in the same game.

It is because of Isles' success on the football field as well as his positive attitude and dedication to his team, that the 49ers are proud to name Ronnie Isles the High School Player of the Week.

For fielding a player who has been named 49ers High School Player of the Week, Andrew Hill High School will receive a $500 gift certificate from Kelly-More to help beautify their campus. Isles will receive a 49ers hat and t-shirt, a certificate signed by 49ers Head Coach Mike Singletary, two tickets to a 49ers home game and recognition on 49ers.com. At the end of the season, Isles will be invited to the 49ers Training Facility to accept a trophy recognizing his achievements.
