How do you spend your time outside of Gold Rush?
Outside of dancing, I love to play golf. I grew up playing every so often with my dad and brothers, but recently, I began to take it more seriously and go to the driving range about once a week. It's so fun picking up a new hobby that allows for my dad and I to bond more. I also love the challenge of trying to pick up a new skill. I hope to someday be as good as my dad!
What are you passionate about?
I have a huge passion for music. I listen to a wide variety of music ranging from Hip Hop, R&B, EDM, Country, all the way to Afro Beats. I love discovering new artists and my all-time favorite genre is R&B from the 90's-early 2000's. One thing about me is I will always have some jams playing in the background. Hopefully I'll get the opportunity to dance with an artist with my Gold Rush brother and sisters!
What personal accomplishment are you most proud of?
A personal accomplishment I am most proud of is getting my bachelor's degree in Communications and immediately getting hired at an Advertising Agency post grad. I worked really hard in college to graduate in 4 years, and throughout those years I tried my best to network in hopes of landing a good job. If it wasn't for me pushing myself I wouldn't have been fortunate enough to get my internship and current job, working for an Advertising Agency for one of the most known tech companies worldwide.
Tell us more about your job.
My job as a project manager, is managing different teams that work on projects in the online digital media space. I have gotten to work for some amazing companies such as Hyundai, as well as one of the most known tech companies. Currently I get to work on projects such as Inclusion and Diversity and Racial Equality Justice Initiatives, and other topics around the company's values. I enjoy project management because it's so amazing to see work evolve over the course of a few months, and I feel so accomplished once I see my projects go live.
Who is YOUR biggest cheerleader?
My family are my biggest cheerleaders. I wouldn't be here today if it weren't for them. My parents and 3 siblings have and will always be my #1 supporters and I am forever grateful for them. No matter what I do in life, I hope to always make them proud.
Tell us about your journey of becoming a Gold Rush cheerleader.
My journey to becoming a Gold Rush Cheerleader has been one of the toughest yet most rewarding things I've ever done. I have never been so determined to accomplish a goal and I'm so happy that all my hard work finally paid off. Something I learned throughout this process is that every rejection is a blessing towards something bigger and better which led me to exactly where I'm supposed to be.
Tell us about your favorite community appearance that you've attended as a Gold Rush Cheerleader.
My favorite community appearance was the annual Christmas Party hosted by the John Lynch Foundation. On this special day, members of the Boys & Girls Club of Silicon Valley and local military families were invited to attend Levi's Stadium for a holiday brunch. They were able to hang out with Sourdough Sam and Santa himself! What made it so special for me was seeing their excitement all day, especially when they were gifted tons of amazing new clothes, shoes, toys, games and more. This event was a great reminder that the 49ers organization is more than just football.
