Where were you born and where do you live now?
I was born and raised in the Bay Area. I recently moved to San Diego to take a job at a big law firm, but luckily, I get to spend my weekends in the Bay practicing with my Gold Rush family and cheering on the best team in the NFL at Levi's Stadium during football season!
What professional accomplishment are you most proud of?
I am most proud of being the first person in my family to go to college and graduate school. Education has always been important to me and being able to accomplish it all on my own has been extremely rewarding.
Tell us more about your job.
There are many different types of lawyers. I am a litigator, which is essentially an attorney who takes cases through the court process or other alternative forms of dispute resolution, e.g., mediation or arbitration. My specialty is employment litigation which broadly encompasses legal disputes between employees and employers such as wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation, whistleblower, or public policy claims.
Do you have any pets? Tell us about your favorite furry friends…
I have a two-year-old cavalier/Aussie and he is the light of my life! He is an absolute sweetheart with the best energy, but he is also a bit anxious and reactive since I got him during the pandemic, so he did not get exposed to other dogs or people. Learning how to navigate his needs has taught me so much about patience, kindness, and empathy!
What impact do cheerleaders have during a game and/or in the community?
The Gold Rush make an impact every day by breaking stereotypes on and off the field. They can fill an entire stadium with cheer, spirit, and joy, AND they can also do the same as ambassadors out in the community through their careers as teachers, paramedics, students, accountants, entrepreneurs, etc.
What do you like most about the 49ers organization?
I could write a book about all of the things that I love about the 49ers… but I have to give a particular shout-out to the organization's dedication to the diversity of the Bay Area, the Faithful, and those who work in the sports industry. Getting to be a part of the 49ers' first-ever "Football for All" celebration was something I'll never forget! It feels amazing to be a part of an organization that welcomes and celebrates everyone, whether that be through the projects of the 49ers Foundation, affinity groups for fans, or its continuous community outreach.
Who is a woman in sports that inspires you?
I am inspired by the women that work hard to make the game day experience magical for the Faithful. From the photographers who capture epic sports shots, to the in-game entertainment host who connects with fans, to the women on headsets making sure everyone is in the right place and everything is running smoothly, to the cheerleaders who light up the stadium with their love for the 49ers, to the Marines who present our nation's colors, to the woman who is calling all the shots in the control room, and many more – all of these women work together to produce something so impactful. When I stand on the field during a game, it is so empowering to see women everywhere I look, absolutely crushing their jobs and putting on the best game day experience in the NFL.
