How do you spend your time outside of Gold Rush?
I love to crochet, knit, and embroider! My grandma taught me how to knit when I was young and now, I love all crafts with yarn and string. In the off-season I taught myself how to sew and made my audition outfit from scratch.
Where were you born and where do you live now?
I was born and raised in Fairfax, Virginia. I left Virginia to go attend college in central Pennsylvania and since have lived in Dallas, Austin, New York, LA, and now I live in San Francisco.
What professional accomplishment are you most proud of?
My first job out of college I was a technology consultant for a big 4 consulting firm. I am most proud of creating and leading a program for my office where we partnered with local schools for a STEM education day! We brought elementary through high school students to our office for interactive sessions to learn about careers in STEM.
Tell us more about your job.
I'm a product director at a financial technology company that is building a new digital benefits platform to help people get the most out of their employee health and lifestyle benefits and save for their future. As product director, I'm responsible for coordinating with engineering, design, research, and leadership to ensure we're building a product that will meet our business goals while solving our user's problems in an innovative and engaging way.
Who or what inspires you?
My teammates inspire me! This team is the most impressive collection of dancers I've ever known. We have lawyers, scientists, PhDs, engineers, finance professionals and more. I'm so inspired by what each of my teammates do outside of Gold Rush and their drive to continue learning and achieving, always setting the bar higher even as they continue to accomplish professional and personal goals.
What impact do cheerleaders have during a game and/or in the community?
Cheerleaders engage fans by pumping up the crowd during game day and add extra entertainment value making 49ers game day more than just a football game but a bay area cultural experience. Beyond game day, cheerleaders represent the 49ers in the community, spreading that FTTB spirit outside of Levi's throughout the Bay Area.
What's your pregame pump up song?
My new pump up song is "Dance The Night" from the Barbie Movie!
Who is YOUR biggest cheerleader?
My biggest cheerleaders are my parents and my fiancé. They are so supportive of everything I do, and especially supportive of me following my dreams to cheer for the 49ers!
Tell us about your favorite community appearance that you've attended as a Gold Rush Cheerleader.
My favorite appearance was the Kids Club holiday party. It was heartwarming to meet families and experience how the 49ers and the love of football can bring families together across generations, from grandparents to kiddos. It was also so fun to see the families show up decked out in their best holiday Niners gear!
