What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about transforming our youth through sports and fitness, as well as sharing my faith with others. My job as a PE teacher and Hip-Hop team coach allows me to motivate and inspire the youth, improve their leadership and social skills, and educate them on overall health & wellness. In addition, the past 2 summers I had the opportunity to travel to Maui, Hawaii and lead a cheer camp through Vertical Sports Maui, where I was able to share my faith in God to encourage the kids, and teach them cheer and dance. Leading the cheer camp was an incredible life changing experience to give back to the community there!
What is a non-profit organization you're involved in and why did you choose to get involved?
I have a huge heart for Africa and my favorite non-profit organization is "The Chisomo Idea". I have traveled to Malawi, Africa twice and it has transformed how I view life and my overall gratitude for everything I have. The Chisomo Idea organization is run by a few of my close friends I met from my trip, and their goal is to focus on a holistic approach to help impoverished communities in Malawi, Africa flourish.
