How do you spend your time outside of Gold Rush?
I like to spend my free time traveling and exploring new places. I went on a total of seven trips within the past eight months, including two solo trips to New York and Maui. I can't wait to travel more internationally and continue to cross destinations off of my bucket list.
What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about trying new things and forcing myself out of my comfort zone. I recently faced my fear of surfing and I am officially obsessed. I fell in love with the thrill of it and it has motivated me to continue to try new things and face more of my fears.
What professional accomplishment are you most proud of?
I am most proud of being a Hispanic woman pursuing a career in the male-dominated field of finance. I am proud of what I have been able to accomplish while helping to pave the way for Latinas with a passion for finance.
Do you have any pets? Tell us about your favorite furry friends…
I have a four-year-old black lab mix named Cameron. I adopted him from the Humane Society, and we have been attached to each other ever since. He is my absolute best friend and favorite adventure buddy!
Who or what inspires you?
My grandma was the strongest and warmest woman I have ever known and she always taught by example to approach everything and everyone with kindness. I feel so blessed to have had her as a role model growing up. She will always be my biggest inspiration.
What's something our fans would be surprised to learn about you?
I think our fans would be surprised to learn that I enjoy playing football just as much as I enjoy cheering on the field. I have participated in co-ed flag football leagues and pride myself in my football throwing abilities.
What does it mean to be a Gold Rush Cheerleader?
To be a Gold Rush Cheerleader is to be a well-rounded role model for our community. Each and every one of us has such unique educational backgrounds and we possess a broad range of careers. From lawyers and teachers to engineers and finance professionals like myself, we comprise such a diverse and prestigious team. My teammates inspire me on and off the field and I am impressed by all facets of who they choose to be.
What's your pregame pump up song?
Anything by E-40! Ever since our halftime performance with him during the 2019 post season, his music reminds me of the excitement of playoff football.
Who is YOUR biggest cheerleader?
My grandma was always my biggest cheerleader. I am so grateful to have had her support growing up and she is a huge reason why I never gave up on this dream. Although she never got the chance to watch me as a Gold Rush cheerleader, I dedicate all my performances to her knowing she is looking down with pride.
Tell us about your journey of becoming a Gold Rush cheerleader.
It took me several years of auditioning before I became a Gold Rush cheerleader. Coming back to auditions after hearing 'No' took a lot of courage, but it was worth the one 'Yes'. My journey is a great lesson to trust timing and never give up. Through perseverance I am now living my dream for a fifth season!
How has being a part of Gold Rush affected your life?
The Gold Rush has affected my life in so many positive ways. Having 31 new sisters and brothers to connect with has been such a blessing. The love and support we show one another is unlike anything I have ever experienced. The Gold Rush family has impacted my life so much more than I could have ever expected and I wake up every day feeling so blessed to be part of it.
