What, in your life, are you most proud of?
One of my proudest moments was winning the Melissa Galvin Award, presented by the directors of Gold Rush at the end of last season. Melissa, a treasured member/Captain on Gold Rush and host of 49ers Total Access, lost her battle to Breast Cancer at the young age of 34. The person who wins this award is responsible for passing on her legacy, leadership and spirit. We walk in her honor every year during the Susan G. Komen walk to fight breast cancer and raise as much awareness as we can. She was a significant part of our organization and it's truly the biggest privilege to honor her life and memory.
My first job was at Cold Stone Creamery. I made (and ate) a ton of ice cream, decorated cakes, sang for tips... it was a memorable and fun first job!
What's something our fans would be surprised to learn about you?
I can play both the drums and the piano. I taught myself how to read music at a young age and have always loved playing, creating, and listening to music. Cover songs are my personal favorite - it's truly remarkable how an existing song can become so different and eclectic with someone's personal touch and style.
What is your biggest goal this season?
My main goal this season is to be the most motivating, supportive, and hardworking veteran teammate that I can be. I will always dance my heart out, never take a single moment for granted, and help the new members of the team have the best experience possible. It's also always my goal to pump up the crowd as much as I can so that the fans can feel just as much excitement as we feel each Game Day!
Brag about one of your fellow teammates.
All of my teammates share such a genuine passion for this team and this sport. I have never encountered a more supportive, talented, kind and influential group of women who are just as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside. They have helped me grow and become a better person, and the passion we all hold for the organization is something I try to channel in every venture I take in life. It's truly a beautiful thing to see babes supporting babes and I love and value all of my teammates more than they know!
How has being a part of Gold Rush affected you?
Being a part of Gold Rush has been a huge part of my life and the ultimate blessing. It's given me the opportunity to do what I love (dancing and performing), to be more involved and give back to the community, to learn more about local businesses and support different charities, and above all else it has brought me friends that will last a lifetime.
