A fleet-footed returner, Micheal Spurlock joins the 49ers after spending time as a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Arizona Cardinals. He has played in 8 career games and 1 postseason contest, seeing the most action in 2007 as a kick returner for the Buccaneers, where he made history with the franchise’s first kickoff return for a touchdown.

•Micheal enjoys collecting movies in his spare time and has a collection of nearly 400. The tradition started in college when he and his friends would go and buy the new releases every Tuesday from the local movie store. Micheal still has a movie day with his wife and two daughters when they watch a couple movies after church every Sunday.

2006 (Arizona)
•Saw action in 1 game after spending first 15 weeks on Cardinals practice squad.
•Tied for team-high with 4 catches for 31 yds. and returned 3 kickoffs for 54 yds. at SD (12/31).


COLLEGE:
       
Played in 21 games at Mississippi at quarterback and running back. Appeared in all 11 games with 8 starts as a senior, starting 7 contests at quarterback and 1 at running back. Completed 142 of 267 passes for 1,709 yds. with 7 TDs and 9 INTs. Played in 7 games as a junior and completed 30 of 70 passes for 341 yds.
