Scott isn’t the only McKillop who has succeeded in the field of sports. His brother, Chris, played football with Scott at Pittsburgh, lining up at defensive end. Scott’s other brother, Robert, was a heavyweight wrestler in high school, which Scott participated in as well.
2009:
•Led the team with 31 special teams tackles.
•Posted 3 special teams tackles in his first NFL game at Arz. (9/13).
•Tallied a career-high 5 special teams tackles vs. Sea. (9/20).
•Recovered a fumble on a muffed punt by CB Quincy Butler in the endzone for his first career TD vs. StL (10/4).
•Made his debut on defense, registering 3 tackles at Hou. (10/25).
COLLEGE:
•Was twice honored as the Big East Defensive Player of the Year in 2007 & 2008. The two-time All-America and All-Big East selection finished his four-year Panthers career with 345 tackles (211 solos), 28.5 TFLs, and 8 sacks. In 48 career games (25 starts), also posted 13 PDs, 3 FRs, 2 FFs and 3 INTs, one of which he returned for a TD. A 2008 semifinalist for the Chuck Bednarik Award, given annually to the country’s best defensive player, led the Big East in tackles (137), ranking 10th in the nation. After becoming a starter in 2007, led the nation in tackles (151), a total that ranked 4th on the school’s all-time single-season list. Played in 12 games, recording 29 tackles, 1 sack, 2 PDs and 1 FR as the backup to the Big East Defensive Player of the Year H.B. Blades. In 2005, appeared in 11 games, registering 28 tackles. Redshirted as a freshman.
PERSONAL:
•Played LB and FB at Kiski Area (Vondergrift, PA) HS, finishing his career with 332 tackles. Led team to three consecutive playoff berths while rushing for 1,121 yds. and 14 TDs over his final two seasons.
•A standout wrestler, finished his senior season as the state runner-up (215-pound division) with a 38-1 record (109-10 career record). Also advanced to the track and field championships in the shotput and discus.
•Brother, Chris, started at DE for Pittsburgh (2004-07). Brother, Robert, was a heavyweight wrestler at Slippery Rock.
•Majored in Business/Marketing.
•Interned in the special events department of the Pittsburgh Pirates.
