•Jeff is a big fan of Ultimate Fighting. In fact, the linebacker incorporates the style into his workouts. He frequently watches events with his wife and started utilizing the training when a friend converted an old building into a fighting studio. At the studio, Jeff wrestles, practices jiu-jitsu and takes part in other cross training activities. He says the alternative workouts increase his cardiovascular stamina to a higher level because they are executed in a controlled environment.

• Played 16 games, starting three as an inside linebacker before being replaced by LB Takeo Spikes. Recorded 15 tackles and was a standout on special teams, logging 15 special teams tackles.
2007:
• Saw action in 16 games with two starts, recording 38 tackles, one pass defensed, 10 special teams tackles and one special teams fumble recovery. Named team’s Matt Hazeltine Ironman Award winner.
• Played first snap on defense at Atlanta (11-4) as he spelled LB Derek Smith, responding with six tackles.
• Tallied a season-high nine tackles at Seattle (11-12) in a backup role.
• Made first start of season in nickel defense vs. Cincinnati (12-15) and tallied seven tackles.
• Recorded second start of season in place of an injured Smith (shoulder) at Cleveland (12-30) and posted seven tackles.
2006:
• Played in 16 games with nine starts, totaling 74 tackles and one pass defensed. Started three games late in season at middle linebacker in 4-3 scheme in place of an injured Smith (hamstring).
• Started at right outside linebacker in first regular season game since season-ending bicep surgery in 2005 at Arizona (9-10), and posted seven tackles.
• Played in sub-packages at New Orleans (12-3) and made five tackles as he stepped in for Smith when he left game with a hamstring injury late in fourth quarter
• Started at middle linebacker at Denver (12-31) and finished with seven tackles and one pass defensed.
2005:
• Started five games and posted 41 tackles with two passes defensed at inside linebacker before missing remainder of season with a torn bicep muscle.
• Played whole game despite suffering a tear in his bicep early in contest vs. Indianapolis (10-9), leading team with 10 tackles. Placed on injured reserve list (10-12) and underwent surgery to repair biceps tear.
2004:
• Played in 16 games with 14 starts at both inside and outside linebacker, tying for team-high with a career-high 167 tackles to go along with one sack, one interception and three passes defensed.
• Posted two tackles and one interception vs. Atlanta (9-12).
• Led team with 14 tackles to go along with one sack vs. Arizona (10-10), followed by a 14-tackle performance following week at New York Jets (10-17).
• Led team with career-high 17 tackles at St. Louis (12-5).
2003:
• Started 15 contests and posted 138 tackles, 2.5 sacks and six passes defensed. Inactive with ankle and thigh injury at Baltimore (11-30).
• Tallied six tackles, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, one special teams tackle and one pass defensed at St. Louis (9-14).
• Posted 12 tackles and a half sack vs. Pittsburgh (11-17).
• Led team with 12 tackles at Seattle (12-27) to go along with one sack, one interception and one pass defensed.
2002:
• Saw action in 14 games with 13 starts after missing first two games with a knee injury, finishing season with 84 tackles, 1.5 sacks, one forced fumble and one pass defensed.
• Recorded 12 tackles and a half sack at Arizona (12-21).
• Registered seven tackles, one forced fumble and one pass defensed vs. New York Giants (1-5-03) in NFC Wild Card Game. Deflected pass resulted in LB Julian Peterson interception in first quarter.
• Posted 10 tackles at Tampa Bay (1-12-03) in NFC Divisional Playoff Game.
2001:
• Started 14 games at inside linebacker, ranking second on team with 92 tackles to go along with a half sack and two passes defensed. Inactive vs. Miami (12-16) and vs. Philadelphia (12-22) with left ankle injury.
• Made first NFL start vs. Atlanta (9-9) and registered eight tackles.
• Made first career postseason start at linebacker and posted two tackles in NFC Wild Card Game at Green Bay (1-13-02).
2000:
• Saw action in four games during rookie season, totaling three tackles and one special teams tackle. Placed on injured reserve (11-21) due to right shoulder injury and went on to have shoulder surgery in off-season.
COLLEGE:
• Two-year starter at Hawaii, where he was an All-WAC first-team selection and team co-captain as senior, starting all 12 games at middle linebacker and leading conference with school season record 169 tackles. Set school record with 127 assisted tackles, breaking old mark of 97. Ranked third in league with eight sacks to go along with two fumble recoveries, two interceptions and one forced fumble.
• Played in seven games with three starts at strong side inside linebacker as a junior and finished with 41 tackles, one sack, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
• Earned first-team All-Conference and team MVP in lone season at Gavilan (Gilroy, CA) Junior College.
• Redshirted in lone season at San Jose State before transferring to Gavilan Junior College.
PERSONAL:
• Three-year letter winner in football at Live Oak (Morgan Hill, CA) High School, where he earned first-team All-League and team MVP honors.
