Signed off the Chiefs practice squad on 10/28/09, Chris Patrick’s acquisition provided depth to the 49ers of­fensive line. Patrick returned to the 49ers after be­ing with team during the 2008 preseason. He spent time on Detroit’s and Philadelphia’s practice squads before being activated to the Eagles 53-man roster for the final 4 regular season games and 3 playoff games in 2008. A three-year letterman at Nebraska, Patrick originally signed as a free agent with the New York Giants in 2007.

COLLEGE:
•Three-year letterman at Nebraska and played in 18 career games, including 14 starts.
•Started a majority of games at left tackles his junior year (2006). Played in all 13 games, with 11 starts.
•As a sophomore in 2005, he emerged late in the year and played a signifi­cant role in final three victories.

PERSONAL:
•Attended Ithaca (MI) HS, where he was the second-leading tackler as a senior, making 102 tackles to go along with 8 sacks.
•Named to Detroit News and Saginaw News Dream Teams, earning first-team AP all-state honors and was Mt. Pleasant Morning Sun’s area Defen­sive Player-of-the-Year.
•Son of Philip and Marie Patrick. His older brother, Joe, started eight games as an offensive lineman at Michigan State in 2002.
