49ers Alcohol Management Policy
The San Francisco 49ers are committed to providing a safe and secure environment for all fans attending events at Candlestick Park. The following policies are in effect:
- The San Francisco 49ers, Centerplate and Union Street Catering encourage all guests who wish to drink to do so responsibly. DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE! All fans and/or attendees are expected to adhere to the Fan Code of Conduct which prohibits irresponsible drinking or behavior and intoxication or signs of impairment related to alcohol or drugs.
- Alcoholic beverages may be reasonably consumed in the 49ers Interior and Internal Parking Lots but excessive quantities of alcohol shall not be brought into the 49ers Interior and Internal Parking Lots.
- Unreasonable quantities of alcoholic beverage containers shall not be displayed or left open to the public view within the 49ers Interior and Internal Parking Lots.
- Tailgating after kickoff is prohibited
- The 49ers participate in TEAM (Techniques for Effective Alcohol Management) as well as the Bud Light Good Sport Designated Driver Program. We encourage fans to enroll as Designated Drivers at the Verizon Gate Plaza (E Plaza), A Plaza, or F Plaza before the game. Alcohol sales within the stadium shall cease at the end of end of the third quarter or earlier at management’s discretion.
- Alcohol Management Teams and Fan Code of Conduct Enforcement Teams are available both within the stadium and throughout the 49ers Interior and Internal Parking Lots. The purpose of these teams is to insure that all attendees are familiar with the policies stated herein and to take the appropriate steps to address any violations of these policies.
- All patrons within Candlestick Park and the 49ers Interior and Internal Parking Lots must be in possession of a valid game ticket or credential.
- Guests MUST be 21 years of age or older and in possession of proper government issued identification to purchase or consume alcoholic beverages within Candlestick Park and the 49ers Interior and Internal Parking Lots. There is a maximum of two (2) beers per purchase at all concession stands. All alcohol sales will be discontinued at the end of the 3rd Quarter (or earlier at Management’s discretion). Patrons will not be allowed to enter Candlestick Park if they are, or are perceived to be, intoxicated. Drunk and disorderly conduct or violation of any alcohol policy may result in ejection from Candlestick Park without refund.
- All fans (including those cheering for the visiting team) should be able to enjoy the game. We ask fans assistance as we strive to create and maintain a safe and enjoyable stadium atmosphere free of vulgar, violent and / or abusive behavior.
- Violators of any of the points in this policy may be ejected, considered to be in violation of trespassing laws per California Penal Code 602(O) and / or and subject to permanent loss of season ticket privileges.
- MANAGEMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CHANGE POLICIES OR PROCEDURES AT ANY TIME WITHOUT NOTICE TO GUESTS.
