#74 DE FRED DEAN

Former 49ers defensive end Fred Dean was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday, August 2 at Fawcett Stadium in Canton, Ohio. Dean is part of the Class of 2008 which includes Darrell Green, Art Monk, Emmitt Thomas, Andre Tippett and Gary Zimmerman.

Dean became the 13th former San Francisco member to enjoy Hall of Fame honors, joining Leo Nomellini (1969), Joe Perry (1969), Hugh McElhenny (1970), Y.A. Tittle (1971), John Henry Johnson (1987), Bob St. Clair (1990), Bill Walsh (1993), Jimmy Johnson (1994), Joe Montana (2000), Ronnie Lott (2000), Dave Wilcox (2000) and Steve Young (2005).
