Important Numbers All 49ers Fans Should Know

Posted Jun 25, 2014

Why do the numbers 29, 31, 33, 38, 74 and 81 matter to the 49ers Faithful? Today's Niners Daily report explains.

Good morning (afternoon or evening depending on when you're reading this) and welcome back another Niners Daily report brought to you by the good folks of 49ers.com.

We like to keep you guessing with our morning report and hopefully we've done our job once again by highlighting some noteworthy numbers that should be known by the 49ers Faithful.

Let the number dropping begin...

The number of practices that are scheduled to be open to the public at Levi's® Stadium. That was the guesstimate made by Jim Harbaugh following San Francisco's three-day minicamp.

Here's what the field looks like with yard-lines painted on it:

The 49ers will have an eighth player revealed Wednesday night on NFL Network's Top 100 Players of 2014 list. How do we know this? Because somebody at NFL Network sent us an email giving us a heads up. Thank you.

Here are the seven other 49ers who have already cracked the top 100:

-Colin Kaepernick at 81

-Joe Staley at 75

-Justin Smith at 69

-Vernon Davis at 51

-NaVorro Bowman at 47

-Frank Gore at 46

-Aldon Smith at 33

In case you missed the last few months of offseason coverage on 49ers.com, we collected the nine most notable posts from the team's nine-week offseason program. Recycling is good for the environment.

More on the team's new stadium, San Francisco Chronicle writer Peter Hartlaub toured the Niners new digs and shared 15 notes from his tour. Fans of soft serve ice cream will like his report.

The 49ers reportedly welcomed veteran cornerback Brandon Flowers in for a meet and greet last week. Flowers, who has worn No. 24 most recently for the Kansas City Chiefs, elected to stay in the AFC West, signing a one-year contract with the San Diego Super Chargers.

There are 29 days until the 49ers hold the first training camp practice of 2014. The date is set for July 24.

If you forgot what camp is like, here's a reminder:

The 49ers will get to practice in full pads 31 days from now. Harbaugh said July 26 is the first scheduled padded practice. Cue the reminder video...

Gore is 33 yards shy of reaching 10,000 career rushing yards. The franchise's all-time leading rusher is in a good frame of mind entering his 10th season with the 49ers. He shared his outlook exclusively with 49ers Studios.

We're 38 days from the San Jose-Seattle MLS clash that is set for the 49ers billion-dollar stadium. US Soccer stars Chris Wondolowski and Clint Dempsey will be the key players for San Jose and Seattle, respectively. Get your tickets today for the Aug. 2 matchup. Do it.

We're now 43 days from San Francisco's first preseason game against the Baltimore Ravens on Aug. 7. Could the teams meet again in 2015? It's probably happening.

Fun fact: 49ers are 74 days away from first regular season game and the team's first ever regular season visit to Jerry's World. Michael Crabtree is pretty juiced up about returning to his hometown of Dallas, Texas. He's still a big deal out there, too.

In addition, 49ers Studios will unveil its new TV series "The Faithful" following the conclusion of "Sunday Night Football" on NBC.

Levi's® Stadium will host its first regular season game in 81 days. No big deal. The Chicago Bears come to town.

Our last number to note is the number of players on the current roster. Here's a tidbit, or talking point, on each player in case you're in a heated debate about the backup swing tackle competition. You really never know.
