Aldon Smith Douses Trent Baalke for ALS Challenge

The San Francisco 49ers outside linebacker and the general manager who selected him in the 2011 NFL Draft took part in the viral "Ice Bucket Challenge."

Trent Baalke accepted the challenge.

Baalke had an ice bucket full of cold water dumped onto his head by San Francisco 49ers outside linebacker Aldon Smith after Wednesday afternoon's training camp practice.

The team's general manager had been put to the test by one of his NFL peers, Kansas City Chiefs general manager John Dorsey.

The viral videos you've probably seen elsewhere are for the ALS Association, which asks participants to take the challenge, pose it to friends and family and then post the proof on social media. Once challenged, you're asked to respond within 24 hours.
